Sesshin with Vanessa Zuisei Goddard

Virtual Sesshin

Visit our calendar or register to save your place in our next virtual sesshin. Here are the retreat’s schedule and chants.

Sesshin means “gathering the mind,” and it’s the quintessential meditation practice in Zen. These silent meditation intensives, led by Guiding Teacher Vanessa Zuisei Goddard, are meant to create a container in which we can turn our attention wholeheartedly to zazen, deepening our relationship to ourselves and to one another.

We encourage you to attend the entire retreat, but if you need to, you can come and go, especially if you’re joining from another time zone. Sesshin includes oryoki breakfast, private teaching with Zuisei, and a dharma talk. Please note that with the exception of the talks and private teaching, the retreat is conducted in silence.

The cost for this meditation intensive is $89. If you have trouble covering the fee, you can offer a different donation; just let us know it’s for sesshin. No one will ever be turned away for lack of funds.

Note: If you are new to meditation or are uncertain if a sesshin is the right offering for you, please contact Zuisei before registering.
